David "Dickie" Richard Hoggard 77, of Wakelon Road, passed away Friday July 8, 2022, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville. He was born in Bertie County March 14, 1945, to the late Kelly Jackson and Sadie Leary Hoggard and predeceased by his wife, Frances Williams Hoggard; son, Kelly Louis Hoggard and a granddaughter, Lauren Hoggard. Dickie was a member of Ross Baptist Church. He was a heavy equipment operator with Commercial Ready-Mix Concrete and formerly worked with Lea Lumber Company. Dickie was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Ross Baptist Church. Rev. Roger Kiker will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his sons, David Scott Hoggard (Anita), Ernest Ray Hoggard (Allison), Clinton Aaron Hoggard (Gina); brothers, Kelly, Donald Ray, George and Tommy all of Windsor; grandchildren, Katilyn, Andrew, Andrea, Ethan, Courtney, Chloe, Skyler, Kelly and Gunner.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 13 ^th from 10-11 AM at Ross Baptist Church and from the home at other times.
