David Ray Mobley Sr., 68, of Reddicks Grove Church Road passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026 at his home.

David was Born on August 14, 1957, in Washington County to Ruby Crawford Mobley and Ervin E. Mobley. David lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and an unforgettable sense of humor.

Proudly retired from Walmart, David was a true jack-of-all-trades who genuinely enjoyed fixing things and lending a helping hand. When he wasn't tinkering, he loved fishing and watching NASCAR. Above all, David loved to make people laugh. His jokes, vibrant personality, and generous heart brought joy to every room he entered. He was a pillar of strength, teaching his family by example what it means to be dedicated and hardworking.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin E. and Ruby Crawford Mobley, and his two brothers: Jimmy Mobley and Jeff Mobley. He is lovingly survived by his loving wife Kim Taylor Mobley, and his three children: David Mobley (Marsha) of Williamston, Victoria Mobley of Raleigh,  and stepson Jason Mizelle of Williamston and his brother Ricky Mobley (Debbie) of Jamesville. Also his cherished five grandchildren, Lyanna, Rian, Aiden, Brendan, and Caroline, who will forever carry his memory and love in their hearts.

The funeral service is planned for Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11:00 A. M. at the Walker Funeral Home- Chapel in Williamston with pastor Jody O'neal officiating. The burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery with military honor, The following will serve as pallbearers: Aiden Mobley, Dustin Mobley, Jason Mizelle, Jamie Rawls, Louis Banks and Brendan Navarrete. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and from other times at the home.
