Daniel Ray "Danny" Dortch, 54, passed away August 14, 2024 at his home in Tennessee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Danny was a devoted husband, father, and brother. He loved his family and church families in Tennessee and North Carolina. Danny also enjoyed cooking for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Earl Dortch and Alice Harrell Dortch of Ahoskie, NC; and two nephews: Sean Dortch, and Robert Bolick.

Danny is survived by his wife, Brandi "Dee" Todd Dortch, children Daniel Earl Dortch, Amber Rayne Dortch and Thomas Robert Dortch all of the home and stepson Nathan Garris of Murfreesboro, NC. one brother, Rob Dortch and wife Cindy, and one sister, Valerie Gitt and husband Mark. He is also survived by nephews Brandon Bolick, Nick Bolick, Jarrod Daniels, Zach Daniels, and niece Emry Daniels.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 10-11 AM at Open Door Church, Bertie Campus, and the service will follow. Danny will be laid to rest at East Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC with Military Honors. .

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his honor. The family will also be accepting donations.
