Cynthia Bryant Harrell, 67 of 115 Askewville Bryant Street, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville. She was born in Bertie County on July 22, 1956, to the late Elbert Ray and Martha Farmer Bryant. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Vann Harrell. Cynthia was a member of Askewville Assembly of God.  She graduated from Bertie High School in 1974 and from Martin Community College in 2000. She worked at BACA as a teacher and administrator  from 1980 until 2001 and then with Wicomico as a special education assistant.

A funeral service will be held Saturday March 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Askewville Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.

Survivors include her son, Howard Vann Harrell, II and his wife Jarren of Indian Trail, NC; daughter, Carla Pesce and husband David from Askewville; sisters, Robin Cummings, and husband Paul, of King, NC, Martha Ray Bryant of Williamston; Gloria Bryant of Askewville; grandchildren, Sarah and Piper Harrell and David, Jr.and Caelyn Pesce.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 8th from 6-7:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home and from the home at other times.
