Claude "Bimbo" Nelson White 64, of White Oak Road, died Friday December 14, 2018 at his home. He was born in Bertie County March 16, 1954 to the late Claude E. and Edna Ruth Hoggard White.  Bimbo was a member of Askewville Baptist Church and retired from the N.C. D.O.T as a supervisor.  He enjoyed hunting and was associated with the Roanoke Tar River Gun Club.  He was also a member of the Willie & Company Gospel Group and the White Oak Band.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Askewville Baptist Church. Rev. Zack Hicks will officiate.  Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.

Survivors include his wife, Viola W. White of the home; daughters. Florence Ann White of Maryland, Lori Ann White and Amy Christine White of Windsor; sons, Nelson Wayne White of Maryland and Scott Nelson White of Windsor; sister, Elizabeth Ann White of Windsor.

The family will receive friends Monday December 17, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home  and from 139 W. Askewville Street at other times.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Askewville Baptist Church Building Fund, 110 E. Askewville Street St., Windsor, NC 27983.
