Christian "Chris" Michael Hardison, age 35, of McCaskey Road passed away Saturday August 8, 2026, after a two-year battle with cancer. He was born in Williamston, NC on April 26, 1991, the beloved son of Mike and Sandra Hardison. Chris is survived by his parents and his older brother Scott. He is survived by his aunts Lori Merritt and husband Donald, Tina Revels and husband Galem, and Tisha Tyre and husband Joe. He is also survived by numerous cousins and many close friends. Chris's family would like to say a special thank you to his cousin Lindsay who visited him often during his illness.

Chris was a 2009 graduate of Williamston High School. He was employed by Tractor Supply Company until his illness prevented him from working. Chris was a devoted sports fan of all types. He especially loved the Duke Blue Devils, Atlanta Braves and the Carolina Hurricanes. Chris was a sweet-natured, smiling person and made friends very easily. He was always very positive and upbeat to the very end. Chris brought joy to many people, and he will be greatly missed.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday August 12, 2026, at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Steven Gurganus officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Josh Leggett, James Robertson, Daniel Merritt, Bobby Merritt, Cody Peele, Ken Cullipher. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home and travel to the cemetery in procession at 2:15PM
