Mrs. Charlie Mae Pierce Hoggard, 88, of Old US Hwy 17 North, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at home. She was born on May 20, 1936, in Bertie County to the late Charlie Daniel and Leon Odell Phelps Pierce and was predeceased by her husband, James Earl Hoggard; sisters, Gladys Hoggard and Eunice Snyder. Charlie Mae was a member of Windsor Assembly of God and retired from George C. Moore as a machine operator.

A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Edgewood Cemetery. The Rev. Chuck Gray will officiate.

Survivors include her daughters, Levern H. White (Glenn) of Colerain, Lenell H. Harden, Freda Hoggard, Bonnie H. Asbell (Darryl) all of Windsor, NC; sons, Leon Hoggard (Anna Raye) of Merry Hill, J.C. Hoggard (Becky), Terry Hoggard (Ruth) all of Windsor, NC; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service and at other times from the home of Freda Hoggard, 948 Old US 17N, Windsor, NC 27983.
