Charles Arthur Craddock, Sr., 92, of Rabbit Lane, Jamesville, NC died Friday, December 12, 2025, at ECU- Beaufort hospital with his daughter by his side. Mr. Craddock was born on May 11, 1933, in Washington County to the late George Chester Craddock, Sr. and Ada Patrick Craddock. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Smith Craddock; sons, Charles Arthur Craddock, Jr. and George Anthony Craddock; sisters, Ada Virginia Craddock, Doris Abraham, Margaret Kluth, Barbara Cogan, Rachael Phelps; brothers, Wallace Craddock, Sr., Chester Craddock, Jr., James Craddock, George Craddock. Charles was a member of Calvary Chapel Church, he enjoyed fishing from time to time, but his true passion was hunting. After Mr. Craddock retired from construction, he found time to start hunting and he would rather be in the woods than anywhere else. He was well known for training hunting dogs, and his nickname was "Rabbit". Charles loved his family, his friends and fellow hunters deeply and they all were always welcome at his home.
Mr. Craddock is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Teresa Chandler of Jamesville and Angie Craddock of Williamston; sons, Ricky Ericson Craddock of Snow Hill and Charles Patrick Craddock, III of Jamesville; sisters, Sara Mullenex of Leesburg, VA and Eva May Ferrell of Raleigh; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; twenty-one great great grandchildren; and two great great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home-Chapel with Pastor Johnny Barber officiating. The family will receive friends one-half hour before the service. Private burial will follow.
