Catherine Leggett Hoggard 86, of Jesse Hoggard Road, died Friday, January 8, 2021 at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Bertie County June 25, 1934 to the late Charlie and Arrie Phelps Leggett and predeceased by her husband, Jesse Hubert Hoggard; brothers, Jesse and Robert Leggett and a sister, Mary Ruth White.  Catherine was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at Elm Grove Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Rev. Preston Jernigan, Rev. Roger Kiker and Dr. Jeffery Russell will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Hoggard Blowe and husband, Jay of Ahoskie; son, Don Hoggard and wife Denise of Colerain; grandchildren, Ryan and Madison Blowe; Jessica Belch Brooke Hoggard.; great grandson, Justin Hoggard.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 10 ^th from 6-7:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home and from the home of Don and Denise Hoggard, 137 Jesse Hoggard Road, Colerain at other times.

Masks are strongly recommended for the service, visitation and committal. Social distancing will be required.
