Carrie Williams
Moore
Dec 13, 1978 — Dec 15, 2020
On Tuesday December 15, 2020 Carrie Williams Moore died peacefully at Vidant Medical Center.
Carrie was born December 13, 1978 in Martin County to Carol Mendenhall Williams and the late Danny Ray Williams. She was a 1997 graduate of Washington High School. She worked for Holland Consulting Planners in Washington for 10 years before returning to college to complete her degrees. She obtained degrees in Accounting, Business, and General Education from Beaufort Community College. Since 2012 she has been employed at Rogers Elementary School, where she worked in the office as the bookkeeper and secretary. She enjoyed being one of the first faces that the children saw every day.
She loved the outdoors and spending time on the water, whether it was at the beach or the river. When friends would visit, they knew they would eat well. Her famous Mexican casserole had a cult following. She never believed in recipes. All dishes came from her memory and her heart, which is why they were so tasty. When she was not cooking, or working outside, one could find her in her favorite chair with one or more of her fur babies on her lap.
Carrie loved hard and deeply. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She is survived by her fiancée of the home, Steven Edwards. Carrie had two boys Tyler Lee Moore and Trenton Ray Moore of the home, who were her pride and joy and she loved more than herself. She is survived by her Mother, Carol Mendenhall Williams of Chocowinity, and her Grandmother, Louise Mendenhall of Williamston. She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Raymond and Candice Williams of Washington. She also had two bonus brothers, Pedro Barber and Darwin Keith Powell and his wife Stephanie all of Williamston. Carrie was blessed to have a large family and several friends that became adopted family. There are too many to list, but she loved each and every one of them deeply.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
