Carolyn Taylor Copeland 84, of Powell Ave., passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at McGregor Downs Nursing and Rehab Center in Greenville. She was born November 18, 1936, in Bertie County to the late Norman Frank and Mattie Hughes Taylor and predeceased by her brothers, Iry, Willie B., Tneal and Fleetwood Taylor. Carolyn was a member of Capehart's Baptist Church. She retired in 1991 from the US Department of Agriculture as a program administrator in the Windsor Farm Service Agency. Carolyn was also the CFO of Copeland Farms.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Capehart's Baptist Cemetery in Merry Hill. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 27 ^th at Walker Funeral Home from 6-7:30 PM.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Sidney Copeland of the home; sons. Sidney Copeland , Jr. and wife, Kristana of  Windsor, Kirk Copeland, and wife Lynn of Greenville; sister, Martha Taylor White and husband Tom of Roper; grandchildren. Sid Copeland, III, William Spencer Copeland, (Christen), Anna Grace Copeland, Kirkland Blair Copeland, Jr.
