Calvin Wyatt James, 79, of Bear Grass Road, died Thursday February 3, 2022, at Martin General Hospital. He was born in Pitt County, June 11, 1942, to the late Jasper and Novela Powell James and predeceased by a sister, Joyce Tyson; brothers, Joseph, Michael, Bradley, and Alston James. Calvin was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He retired from Williamston Yarn Mill as the card room overhauler.

Funeral services will be held Sunday February 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church. Rev. Phillip Boseman will officiate. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife; Brenda Wynn James of the home; daughters, Caroline Patino, Lisa J. King (Todd); sister, Linda Barrow; brother, Bobby James; grandchildren, Heather Parker (Rolando Gobo), Jessica Guisade (Willie), Jennifer King, Phillip Wiggins; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Hinton, Lyric Parker, Tyreik Parker, Jaxson Taylor, Carter Wiggins, Chase Wiggins, Jr Layden, Austin Layden and Kendal Guisado.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 5 ^th from 3-5 PM at Walker Funeral Home and from the home at other times. Memorial gifts may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 24347 NC 125, Williamston, NC 27892.
