Brodie Edward Hoggard, 76, of Exter Road, passed away quietly Saturday morning at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. He was born in Bertie County, April 27, 1945, to the late Jesse Jenkins and Glennie Odell Mitchell.  He was a framer and  retired from Perdue as a feed mill operator with over 30 years of service. Brodie was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and member of a bowling league. Sisters, Odell and Betty Lou Hoggard predeceased him.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 9, 2021, at 11:30 AM at the Walker Funeral Chapel in Windsor.  Rev. Chris Lee will officiate. A private burial will follow in the West Family Cemetery in Creswell.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Surgeon Hoggard of the home; daughters, Angie H. Brickhouse and husband Tom of Creswell and Victoria Marie Hurst of Colerain; brother Alvin Hoggard of Colerain; grandchildren Crystal Wisner and husband Doug, Amber Nobles and Kayla Bateman and husband John all of Creswell; great grandchildren, Braxton and Jason Nobles, Ava and Derek Brickhouse.

Memorial gifts may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, 348 US 13 North, Windsor, NC 27983.

The family will receive friends following the service and from the home at other times.
