Ms. Brinda Kay Hopewell Beach, 78, a lifelong resident of Everetts, NC died early Saturday morning January 18, 2025 at ECU Medical Center in Washington. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, January 20, 2025 in the chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Williamston with Pastor Stan Matthews officiating. A private burial will be held beside her husband in the Robersonville Cemetery. Mellanie McGuire, Angie Schraven, Katherine Buck, and Ginger Sanchez will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will gather with friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Brinda was born on October 3, 1946 to Mattie Lou Thomas Hopewell and George Caton Hopewell who both have preceded her in death. After her schooling, she was the wife of Leroy Beach for 56 years until his passing. Ms. Brinda was the owner and operator of LeKay's Beauty Shop for 45 years until her retirement, and was an active member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Williamston and played the piano there as needed. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and had a beautiful yard  and owned her own shop where she did hair.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Hilda Mae Bland and Janice Clark; three brothers: Robert Hopewell, Thomas Hopewell, and her twin brother, Richard Ray Hopewell. Surviving is one brother, James Woodie Hopewell of Leesville, LA; and several nieces and nephews.
