Brian Winston Ward, 65, of Askewville-North Railroad Street passed away Wednesday June 7, 2023, at his home.  He was born in Chowan County, February 4, 1958, to the late Woodrow Winston and Gladys Layton Ward and predeceased by a brother, Larry Smith.  Brian was a "jack of all trades" He worked with Asplundh tree service and was very involved with the renovations of the old Community Building.

A private service will be held at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Mitchell Ward of the home; daughter, Kelly Morgan Ward of Windsor; sister, Rosanna Rhea of Windsor; brothers, Alan Ward, and Terry Ward both of Colerain; granddaughter, Zoey Minyard of Kinston.

Memorial gifts in Brian's memory may be made to the Town of Askewville, 105 Askewville-South Railroad Street, to help with the completion of the Community Building project.
