Brenda Joyce Temple White, 79, of Pocosin Road, died Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.  She was born in Prince George, VA to the late Linwood Temple and Katherine Hurlburt Temple on March 2, 1946. Brenda was a secretary for Dr. Iqbal Mazhar and a bus driver for Askewville Elementary school. She enjoyed playing bingo with her many friends and the occasional slot machine. Ms. Brenda was a great "Mama" and "Wonderful" grandmother and will be truly missed.

Brenda married her husband Norman Lee "Hinkie" White Sr. on Oct 16, 1971. She is predeceased by her husband; two sons,  Cecil Dean White, Sr. and Norman Lee White , Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Lee White of Windsor; sons, Rodney "Willie" White and wife, Bobbie Lynn of Askewville, Roger Hughes and wife, Janet of Prince George, VA, and Ray Hughes and wife, Tammy of Conway; grandchildren, Melissa Hughes, Rachel Fetty (Ben), Dallas White (Taylor), Cecil Dean "CJ" White, Jr. and Josh Hardison; and sister-in-law, Myrna Aultman.

A visitation will be held between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Walker Funeral Home, 236 US 17 Bypass, Windsor, NC.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home chapel - Windsor with Pastor Bobby Nelson Byrum officiating, burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
