Brenda Dunlow Jones 73, of Holly Springs Church Road passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at ECU Medical Center. She was born on November 5, 1950 in Bertie County to the late Rassie and Janice Byrum Dunlow. Brenda was a member of the Open Door Church in Windsor. She loved making crafts, growing beautiful flowers, fishing, and caring for the elderly in nursing homes.

Funeral  services will be held Saturday June 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Open Door Church in Windsor. Pastor Jay Rivenbark will officiate. A burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Steven L. Jones of the home; daughter, Tina Marie Dempsey of Raleigh; step daughter, Shannon Bruce and husband Shawn of Portsmouth, VA; sister, Spring Musser and husband Thomas of Norfolk, VA; brothers, Andrew Dunlow (Sue) of Aulander, Donald Dunlow (Margaret) of Williamston, James Dunlow of Windsor; grandchildren, Canaan Christopher Grant of Greensboro, Alexander Justin Grimsley of Raleigh; step grandchildren, Skyler Bruce and Steffen Bruce and one step great grandchild, Ever.

The family will receive friends Friday June 28th at Walker Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM and from the home at other times.
