Robert "Bob" Houston Hoggard 92, of Old US 17 North, died Sunday September 2, 2018 at Vidant Bertie Hospital.  He was born in Bertie County March 11, 1926 to the late George Houston and Rodenia Barnacascel Hoggard and was predeceased by his wife, Gladys Pierce; by brothers, Kelly, Woody and Jim Allen Hoggard; sisters, Lillie Mae Whitaker, Florence Hampton, Margaret Saleeby and Sadie Castellow.  Bob retired from Coulbourn Lumber Co. as its plant manager. He attended Grace Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Walker Funeral Chapel by Rev. David Baker.  Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter, Judy H. Goodwin and husband Ray; son Robert D. Hoggard and wife Revonne all of Windsor; sisters, Nancy Hoggard of Windsor and Hetty Hargrove of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Randy Goodwin and wife Peggy and Bobby Hoggard; great grandchildren, BriAnn and Randi Goodwin, Ashley Ryan; great great grandchildren, L. J. and Zoey Ryan.

The family will receive friends Tuesday September 4 ^th from 7-8:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home and from the home at other times.
