Billy David Edmondson, 89 of Williamston passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2023. He was born October 10, 1934, to the late Luther and Mamie Edmondson of Spring Green.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Melva Wynn Edmondson; daughters, Pam Darden (David) and Dawn Ray; sons, David Edmondson (Barry) and Doug Edmondson (Jodie). Five grandchildren, Amanda Viverette (Paul), Paige Darden, Kristin Zaki (Nasser), Tyler Ray, and Coleman Edmondson and four great grandchildren, Graylee and Cameron Viverette, Elijah, and Noah Zaki.

He is also survived by sisters; Martha Howell and Gloria Peele; Siblings, Russell Edmondson, Sudie Revels, Harold Edmondson, Julius Edmondson, Bobby Edmondson, and Mack Edmondson predeceased him.

He worked several years at White's Heating and Air. In1978, he established Edmondson and Perry Heating and Air with partner N.S. Perry. He sold the business in 2012. In retirement, he worked part-time at Corey's for about five years. He was a devoted member and deacon of First Free Will Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Walker Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
