Beulah Mizelle Jernigan, age 95, of Elm Grove Road, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Three Rivers Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Bertie County, September 19, 1926, to the late Matthew Curfew and Lois Harrison Mizelle and was predeceased by her husband, Alvis Garland Jernigan; daughter, Judy J. Selby; brothers, Federal, Sherman, and Charles Mizelle; grandchildren, Shannon, and Kimberly Jernigan. Beulah was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held, Friday March 18, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Elm Grove Baptist Church. Her minister, Rev. Preston Jernigan, will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends from Beulah's Home at 532 Elm Grove Road.

Survivors include her daughter, Sudie J. Oliver and husband, Jerry of Piney Creek; sons, Tony G. Jernigan and wife Pat and Burgess Frank Jernigan and wife Pam; sisters, Ellen Rose Hughes and brother, Douglas Mizelle all of Colerain; sister, Kathy Gibson of Williamston; grandchildren, Stacy Lassiter, Sandy Jernigan, Tonya Alessi, Shaina Billings, Dallas Selby, Kevin Jernigan, Renae Jernigan, and Jeana Jernigan; thirteen great grandchildren.
