Ms. Betty Faye Williams Goodman passed away Wednesday morning April 3, 2019 at her residence following a long battle with cancer. Betty was born August 9, 1942 to the Benjamin F. Williams and Margaret Williams Williams. She was A 1960 graduate of Williamston High School, and worked as a State Examiner in Florida until her retirement. Betty was also a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.

A graveside celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Friday April 5, 2019 at Edgewood Cemetery with Community Hospice Chaplin Brian Sawyer and Pastor Chris Hardison officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside, and other times at her home.

In addition to her parents Betty was predeceased in death by one daughter, Deborah Ann Goodman in 1981; three brothers and three sisters.

Betty is survived by her loving daughter Rebecca Lynn and husband Paul Benga of Arizona; three granddaughters Deborah (Kory) Peterson, Katie and Kelly benga all from Arizona; two grandsons Christopher David of Croughton, England and Jimmy Benga of Indonesia. Other survivors include: a half sister Ruby Jean Perry, two aunts: Sarah Mizelle, and Peggy Williams, and one uncle, Jesse Williams. In lieu of flowers it was Betty's request that memorial donations be made to Community Home Care & Hospice in her memory at 200 Green St., #203, Williamston, N.C. 27892.
