Mrs. Barbara Mizelle Williford, 95, of Bazemore Street, Windsor, NC passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at her home with her daughter by her side.  She was born November 16, 1930, in Askewville, NC, to Joseph Leonard Mizelle, Sr. and Pauline Jernigan Mizelle.  She was predeceased in death by her husband, Marshall Lee Williford, Sr.; both of her parents; sons, Eric Kent Williford and Marshall Lee Williford, Jr.; sisters, Patty Todd, Margaret Dilday and Beatrice Babb; brother, Joseph Leonard Mizelle, Jr.  Barbara was a member of the Cashie Baptist Church; she was a graduate of Windsor High School and was a forward on the 1948 girls' basketball team that won the State Championship. Barbara earned two degrees from Martin Community College, one in cosmetology and the other was in the nursing assistant program.  She ran Williford Cleaners and Laundromats for many years and worked for Williford Farms, Inc. Ms. Barbara was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend; she is going to be missed by many.

Survivors include her daughter, Trudy Williford Bowen (Bill) of Greenville; son, Rodney Williford (Kay) of Bethel; daughter-in-law, Teri Williford; grandchildren, Walt Williford, Alan Williford, William Williford. Frances Williford, Bobi Williford Bobbitt (Justis), Marshall Lee Williford, III (Stacy), Lynse Williford Rivenbark (Josh), Luke Frances Williford (Morgan), Christina Bowen Mann (Chris), William C. Bowen, Jr. (Yuliya), Kyle B. Williford (Amy), Kaley Williford Wilson (Matt), Katie Mesho (David), David Wilson (Christine); 25 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held, Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Cashie Baptist Church. Rev. Stafford Beasley will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family following the committal service in the Cashie Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
