Barbara Doughtie White, 83, of US 13 North, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, at ECU Bertie Hospital.  She was born in Hertford County to the late Cola and "Willie" Leggett Doughtie and predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Scarborough White and her four brothers, Howard, Raymond, Cola Wright, and Ray Doughtie. Barbara, a homemaker was devoted to her family, supporting, and loving them.  She also loved to watch sports, especially NASCAR racing. Barbara was a member of Askewville Baptist Church. Later in her life she attended Askewville Assembly of God with her children.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 7. 2022 at 2:00 PM at Askewville Assembly of God. The Reverends Webb Hoggard, Zach Hicks, Buddy Denton, and Randy Pierce will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.

Survivors include her daughters, Rene' White  Mizelle and husband Allen, Lisa White Mizelle and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Erica Johnson (Kevin), Preston Mizelle (Ashley), Blake Mizelle (Melissa), Trevor Mizelle; great grandchildren, Dylan Johnson, Liam Mizelle and Amelia Mizelle.

The family will receive friends from the home of Rene' and Allen Mizelle, 1823 US 13 North, Ahoskie. Memorial gifts may be made to the Askewville Assembly of God, Building Fund, 105 Askewville-Bryant Street, Windsor, NC 27983.
