Athemus George Sfetsos 82, of Martin Avenue, died Monday October 1, 2018 at Vidant Bertie Hospital in Windsor. He was born in Pasquotank County September 27, 1936 to the late Efthemus and Eva Liverman Sfetsos and predeceased by a brother, Thomas Sfetsos.  George was the owner and chef at Cobbs Corner and the Town and Country.  He loved to hunt and fish and of course cooking.  He was a member of the NC Beach Buggy Association and the NRA. He was a CB radio operator enthusiast.

A memorial service will be held Thursday October 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Walker Funeral Chapel in Windsor. Dr. James Horton and Rev. Doug Knox will officiate.

The family will receive friends follow the memorial service at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife Dora Ainsley Sfetsos of the home; daughter, Candy Jackson and husband Todd of Wilmington; step grandchild, Sabryn Jackson; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
