Asa Mack Harrison, Jr., 59 of Albemarle Beach Road, passed away on December 14, 2020 at Vidant Chowan Hospital.

He was born on November 26, 1961 in Beaufort County to the late Asa Mack Harrison, Sr. and Eleanor Cahoon Harrison. Asa married Debbie Edmondson on August 10, 1986 and they were married for 34 years.

Asa retired from PCMH where he worked as the grounds supervisor for 25 years making many friends along the way. Asa never knew a stranger and could initiate a conversation with anyone at any time. During his retirement, his desire to help others and his cooking became life passions. If he loved you, he fed you. Many people were recipients of some delectable treats; Asa had put together to let them know they were special. His outgoing personality and compassion will truly be missed.

Survivors include; wife, Debbie Edmondson Harrison of the home; daughter; Amber Harrison Jennings of Kill Devil Hills; son, Gavin Harrison of Berlin, Germany; sister, Charlene Harrison Turner (Bobby) of Williamston; brother, Mitchell Harrison of Hamilton; nephew, Harrison Turner; special aunts, Pat Waters, Sandra Harrison, Elaine Harrison, Millie Raynor (Gene) and Nancy Leggett; In laws, Cecil and Linda Edmondson (his second set of parents); he also leaves behind his side kick and trusted partner, Carter.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Moulden officiating.

The family welcomes you to join them at the service by wearing a mask and observing 6 ft social distancing. You may also watch the service from your vehicle, listening via outdoor speakers. We will have the service live streamed on Facebook as well. A drive through visitation will held at 11:30 AM directly following the service where you can pay your condolences from the safety of your vehicle.
