In Loving Memory of Annie Louise Mann Williams

It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Annie Louise Mann Williams July 9, 2026.

Born on December 24, 1946, in Merry Hill and Windsor, North Carolina, Annie was the cherished daughter of Louise Mann Racoe and Robert Smithwick.  Her life was a testament to love, resilience and the enduring power of family.

Annie shared an extraordinary love story with beloved husband, John Henry Williams Sr., who preceded her in death. Together they built a loving family and raised six children: Allen Ray Williams, John Henry Williams Jr., Lorie Ann Williams Hyman, Clarence Eugene Williams, Shirley May Ebron (Kenneth Wayne Ebron), and Ronald Lee Williams. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, John Lewis Williams, and her sister Ruth Howard.

She leaves to cherish her memory her six children; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Minnie Ross and Betty Jean Walker; and her brothers: Clyde Mann, Harry Mann, Steve Mann, Thomas Mann, Lindale Mann, Michael Mann, and Barry Mann.

Annie's nurturing spirit and contagious warmth created a legacy of love that will be carried forward by her family.  Her home was always a gathering place, filled with the sounds of laughter, music and the delicious aromas of her cooking.  Though Annie left formal education in the ninth grade her passion for learning never waned.  She loved the piano and found joy in spelling and math.

Annie worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 23 years, faithfully caring for residents in nursing homes in Edenton and Windsor, North Carolina. Her kindness, patience, and servant's heart touched the lives of many.

As a visitor of the House of Prayer Deliverance Ministries, Annie found strength and purpose through her faith under the leadership of Pastor Lewis and First Lady Glaspie.

She found joy in cooking, keeping a welcoming home, singing, fishing at the Nags Head Fishing Pier, and encouraging everyone she met. Her home was a place of love, laughter, and unforgettable meals, where family and friends always felt welcome.

The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Walker Funeral Home, Three Rivers Health & Rehabilitation Center, the hospice team, and all of Annie's caregivers for their compassionate care and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Windsor, North Carolina. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and celebrating her remarkable life. Family and friends will gather on Friday, July 19, 2026 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice in Annie's memory, continuing her legacy of generosity and service.

Annie Louise Mann Williams will be remembered for her steadfast faith, loving heart, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and legacy will live on in all who knew and loved her.
