Andy Poe Leggett, Jr., 76 of Ballard Rd., died Sunday, November 13, 2022, at ECU Health Medical Center.

Andy was born on November 16, 1945, in Martin County to the late Andy Poe Leggett, Sr, and Rosa Edmondson Leggett. He was retired from United Insurance as a staff manager. Andy attended Hamilton Baptist Church and was a US army veteran. He was founding member of the Buzzard Roost Gun Club and a member of the Hamilton Gun Club. Andy loved to fish, hunt and gardening and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chris Leggett and brother, Leroy Leggett.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Hudson Leggett of the home; son; Jason Leggett (Ashley) of Williamston; daughter, Tammy McGill (Kevin) of Goldsboro; brothers, Sam Leggett (Billie) of Belhaven and Gene Leggett (Jean) of Williamston; sister, Janie Lee (Frankie) of Merry Hill; grandchildren, Hunter Leggett (Annie), Morgan Waddell (Ashton), Chase and Bradley Leggett; great grandchildren, Rheya Leggett, and Cecilia Waddell.

Memorial services, with military honors will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Hamilton Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Dupuy officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
