Amy Michelle Mizelle, died Saturday, November 5, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Edenton, NC., on November 25, 1980 to Donald Lee and Ann Hoggard Haislip.  Amy was a 1999 graduate of Bertie County High School and she also attended Martin County Community College in Williamston, NC.

She was a member of Lawrence Baptist Church and employed by Jonathan Edwards, CPA. in Ahoskie, NC. April 16, 2011 Amy married the love of her life Alfred Louis Mizelle.

Amy never met a stranger and could talk with anyone; she had the most outgoing personality and laughter. One of the places she loved the most was the beach, and her pets. (Sasha and Kattie Cat)

She was deeply loved by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Grover, and Annie Louis Hoggard and Lonnie and Mildred Haislip.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred of the home; parents, Donald (Doc) and Ann Haislip; sister, Robin Haislip and husband Jerry of Richmond, VA.; brother, Scott Haislip of Windsor; and two special much loved nieces, Jasmine Douglas of Richmond, VA., Amanda Browning of West Virginia.

Graveside funeral services will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eddie Coltrain officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Donald (Doc) and Ann Haislip at 1424 Cooper Hill Rd.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Bertie County Humane Society, 217 County Farm Rd, Windsor, NC 27983
