Alice Faye McKeel Jarrell 85, of Merry Hill passed away at the Windsor House surrounded by family. Alice was born on January 13, 1940, in Columbus County, NC to Jasper and Mary Nicholson McKeel. Alice married James A. Jarrell on November 30, 1958, and they were married for 62 years. She was a member of Republican Baptist Church, and she loved gospel singings and attending church. Alice was a faithful and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, and spent her life serving others and Jesus

Alice is predeceased by her parents and her husband. She is survived by a son, William Jarrell of Merry Hill; a daughter, Lisa Shearin of Merry Hill; a sister, Brenda Frick of Merry Hill; a granddaughter, April Taylor (Eric) and great grandchildren, Addison, Eli and Bailey all of Elizabeth City.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Windsor with Dr. Reverend Jeffery Russell and Reverend Howard Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
