Alice Barber Coffield, 74 of 10580 US 17 died Sunday, August 4, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Coffield was born in Martin County on July 28, 1945 to the late Benjamin Barber and Charlie Elizabeth Force Barber. She was retired, having worked as management at the Roanoke Country Club for several years and had also worked at Williamston Yarn Mill. Alice enjoyed going to Riverside Campground, where she fished and relaxed on the water. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Alfred Coffield and a daughter Allison Boyette.

Survivors include; son, John Hardison of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Benjamin Barber of Plymouth; sister, Marie Rogerson of Williamston; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Leggett officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
