Leroy Edward Taylor 48, of Hopkins Road, died Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Martin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bertie County on December 28, 1963 to Lizzie Baker and the late Tommy Taylor. Leroy was employed by McDonald's of Williamston.

A memorial service will be held Thursday August 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dallas Gurganus and Rev. George Jefferies. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home and at other times from the home of his mother, 1061 Hopkins Road, Williamston.

Survivors include his mother Lizzie Baker Taylor Whitaker of Williamston; sisters, Susan Hyatt and husband Robert of Williamston, Deborah Mauldin and husband Billy Preston of Garden City, SC, Lisa Thomas and husband William of Williamston, Mary Hardison and husband Frankie of Jamesville, Angie Street and husband Jason of Greenville; brother, William Tommy Taylor and wife Addie of Williamston; his life partner, Josh Salisbury of Williamston and many nieces and nephews.
